Mullin Brick Works is in its 30th year of business, and is an established company offering quality work at a competitive price. Joe Mullin, President, is a graduate of Roger Williams University with 32 years of proven experience. Mullin apprenticed under Tomasi’s Nursery and is a true craftsman, dedicated and knowledgeable of his trade. 

Every brick walk and courtyard laid by Mullin Brick Works has a    stone dust bed and filler. Since stone dust “breaths” — it expands and contracts allowing bricks to rise and fall with changes in weather and prevents heaving. Stone dust is also one of the best deterrents against weeds. In order to avoid heaving, Mullin Brick Works excavates 6-10 inches below the frost line for best results. Mullin also ensures expert grading and draining into every design.  

Specializing in curved walkways, Mullin uses both classic and unique designs. Bricks are hand-cut to maintain the curve and continue the selected pattern. Running, herringbone, straight herringbone and basket weave, to name a few, are patterns laid by Mullin Brick Works. 

In addition to brick, Mullin has experience in stone walls, cobblestone, blue stone, granite and pressure treated timber walls. He uses only quality products and experienced workpeople. Mullin Brick Works serves Boston and the Southeast shore, including Cape Cod and the islands.
